Good things about this clock: its size, weight, loudness of its alarm, and the fact that it doesn't require batteries.
Bad thing about this clock: It is very cheaply made, and the wind-up mechanisms are placed so close together that it is difficult to get your fingers in there.
Worst thing about this clock: When you set the alarm, you have to understand that it may or may not go off. I tested it for about a week prior to leaving on a trip, just to make sure it was working properly. It kept good time, but the alarm would go off only about 10% of the time. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong, so I read and re-read the instructions. And kept setting it and winding it and waiting for it to go off. Most of the time, it just didn't sound at all. Finally I gave up. I did not return this clock because it would have cost me $5 to mail it back, and it only cost $11 to buy. So I just bought another travel clock that has an alarm that actually does what it is supposed to. If you need a wind-up travel clock that keeps good time and you are not worried about waking up to catch a flight, then this is the clock for you. |
