This is a nice jewelry box that is as nice "in person" as it looks online. My concern with this type of item, which I bought as a gift, is that it be well-made and not "ticky tacky," with peeling adhesives, shoddy hardware, etc. This box has all those small details right -- the hinges are smooth and the leather looks, smells, and feels like good, although perhaps not the absolute highest, quality, and the hardware is all solid and firmly attached.
Note the size -- this box is about as big as a child's lunchbox, although the drawers and door are cleverly-enough arranged to hold a good amount. I bought this as a gift for my fiancee, and she loves it, especially the built-in travel case, which is good for several small items.
The box is also just as GREEN (!!!) as it looks on my monitor. It's a bright, green-apple / Easter grass shade that I think looks great, and it's got a nice matte finish, so it's not garish or anything -- more just BOLD! And BRIGHT! Four stars. I would buy this again without hesitation. |

The green was a nice color, and the box, overall was nicely made.
All the compartments are great if you have a ton of jewelry (like me) and the little fold-up jewelry travel case is a great touch, and handy too!

| The lines and the color of this box are very contemporary, but every time I use it I feel like I'm opening an heirloom. The bottom drawer can be removed, folded in half, and snapped close, for a convenient travel case. SO beautiful and useful. |
